They are all mainly from all ten books in Malazan series. Only two are based on the latest "The Kharkanas Trilogy", which is connected to main Malazan saga.
If you're into some badass/epic/dark/military fantasy, then I highly recommend Malazan. Erikson is top of the genre.
Trust me, it's like nothing you've read before.

True, that scene, with the rest of the Kapustan battle is some serious war madness. Actually, entire "Memories Of Ice" is complete hell of a book. I was pissed of too for the death of Brukhalian. Such an amazing character indeed.

Amazing! So great! I've read Kingkiller and Song of Ice and Fire but not Malazan. How would you say it compares to the two?

As for the Malazan, NO, I just can't compare it with ASOIAF or The Kingkiller Chronicle...I mean - Martin is good, Rothfuss is great on its own way, BUT Erikson is WAAAAY better than previous two.
Epic fantasy in every word of that meaning, awesome world building, amazing story & characters, brutal sieges & battles, original magic system, dramatic, emotional and tragic all the time. And, one more thing - Malazan is not for the average epic fantasy genre reader. Actually, it's not for everyone, but if it suck you in, there's no way you get out of there.

When I talk to people about the Malazan Book of the Fallen, I tell tem it makes ASOIAF look like a quaint English drawing-room drama by comparison.

IMO, comparison is just impossible. ASOIAF is not even complete series so that I could call it saga, and it's popular mainly because of tv show GOT (which I find disgusting). As one guy said in some Malazan Empire fb group - "Malazan is like GOT on cocaine". I think it's much more.

IMO, Malazan saga deserve much more fan art than now...sure, it's totally inspiring for me, as an illustrator, and there will be more fan art based on these books, you can be sure about that.

The Grey Swords were SO AWESOME! And the battle was... so brutal... Which makes it great that you included that huge puddle of blood!

The Grey Swords...Itkovian...just WOW. And, I agree about the battle. The siege of Capustan was completely brutal...possible the most violent scene(s) I have ever read. Erikson is a one great military master, no doubt.
