Yeah, it's an old cartoon from the 80s, and I still like that old anime style they've used in it.

Yes, that was a blast from the past.
Well, tbh, I don't remember this cartoon from my childhood...
it's quite possible that it was not aired in my country at that time...
there was Triton of the Sea, Voltron, Masters of the Universe,
Transformers, Swamp Thing and many, many others, but I really
can't recall of ThunderCats...damn...
Though, I've watched an intro now, and it looks great!

May I ask if you know of the "Wall of Night" series by Helen Lowe,it is my favourite series of fantasy besides ASOIF.

since you compare it to ASOIAF.

In my opinion it is a fantastic read and one of the few series that it gets better as it progresses whereas most fantasy series tend to struggle on the way.

"Malazan Book of the Fallen" series by Steven Erikson?
It changed my life and my view in epic fantasy genre forever.

Of course,all ten of them plus Esslemont's stuff also.A great achievement in the field no doubt about it,the scope of that series is unsurpassed.Somewhat dissapointed with "Fall of Light" though.

Really? That's interesting. IMO "Fall of Light" is his best book so far
(not that I diminishing Malazan series, ofc). Completely another level
of story telling and approach in very genre.
Dunno, I adore that book. Or I could be just crazy about Tiste stuff?

I really did not like how every character from peasant to lord in that book was always ruminating and philosophising it was too much for me.Moreover I'm thinking this prequel trilogy is a mistake,some stories need to be left untold,there's no need to reveal the mysteries behind the Tiste ,the Ascendants,and the Warrens,it takes the awe and glamour away from these larger than life characters and diminishes them.

Yeah, I know, but we have all that in Malazan too, only not
such a big amount of philosophy by everyone. Although, Tiste Andii's
culture and foundation are all based on philosophy, so I guess it was
pretty much expected in "The Kharkanas Trilogy".
But still, I don't mind, because writing style is simply unbelievable, and
I really like to see how the things was back there before Malazan.
There's a lot of information that we don't know from main series, and
to see how Tiste was divided on races, plus their civil war, plus everything
about Eleint's - it's priceless.
Though, it's just my opinion.
