Yeahhh, so since Otakon (and even before I guess) I've been chatting with peeps about what I would have done in Round 4 of LoT if I'd gone up against *ConcentrationMoon xD and though I was thinking I wouldn't have time to draw up an actual comic of it.. well, I've been working on this off and on for a few months
;; But I figured I can't just sit on pages forever- so I threw together a kinda teaser "trailer" of it, like for a movie! Just using panels + a couple pages here and there to accent >D yessss~Best if viewed while listening to: [link]

But yes, the characters were all created by other people, and we drew each others in rounds, just like any tournament. Unfortunately it's all over now :3 so nope, no new things for LoT ^_^ glad you enjoyed~

alright, well, a call goes out (basically) saying that someone wants to host an OCT (Original Character Tournament). people who are interested in taking part have a set amount of time to make an audition and a reference sheet. then the OCT's administrator and judges choose somewhere between 24-32 contestants (depending on how many auditions were turned in and/or how long the admin wants the OCT to last).
contestants are then pitted against each other, one at a time; a contestant progresses to the next round by making a comic/flash animation/written story explaining exactly how their character will/would defeat their opponent. the judges then look at both contestants' entries, and decide who's they like better (as in, which has plot, which stays on the track of the fight best, which one captures both characters' personalities perfectly based on their ref sheets, etc)
this continues until a winner is chosen by said deviant progressing to the final round, and having their last round submission picked by the judges.
...and that's how an OCT works (from a bystanders POV--ive never actually been in an OCT. ive auditioned for a few, but haven't gotten my auditions accepted
