I loved the film and wanted to do a Joker pic - I loved the makeup and wanted to have fun seeing how it worked.
I got some reference pics of Heath and then drew a new picture of him looking pensive - see it looks like none of the original references. I never try to copy my reference photos because it's so much more fun and challenging to 'make up' a new pic.
So I had a nice short haired Heath (face 2, row 2), and then started Jokerising him. I added long hair, ruined his complexion, added the Glasgow smile and darkened the eyes to get the Joker without make up that you see during the procession shoot out (face 1, row 4). Then I added the facepaint and you get the Joker!

The 1st picture in the second row looks like the Joker before his failed heist at the Monarch Playing Card factory (where Jack Napier was disfigured, turning him Into the Joker).

Thanks! I've got one of those draw-on-the-screen Wacom graphic tablets so you just draw as normal as if you were using a pencil, just do a rough sketch and then just mould and refine it

Whoa, thanks so much for the lovely comment! Yes it did take a while because I was taking it easy. I just realised that I onlyuploaded the small version. I've uploaded the full size version now so if you download it you can really see the gradual wreckage up close
