Description The Fate of the Beast

With several taps of his cane, Head-Captain Yamamoto called for silence. Around him were the remaining Captains of the Thirteen Court Guard Squads after Sosuke Aizen’s betrayal. Of them that weren’t busy with other things around the Soul Society were Captains Soi-fon, Kenpachi, Unohana, Komamura, Toshiro, Byakuya, and Maiyuri. Taking quiet glances around to each of them, he knew of one of the subjects they will want to talk about. One that not many of them will wish to discuss.
“This meeting of what remains of the Thirteen Court Guard Squads will now begin,” the Head-Captain began. “The first matter at hand will be the Rouge Soul Reaper that harmed several other Soul Reapers in his pursuit to reach the World of the Living to kill Substitute Soul Reaper Ichigo Kurosaki.”
Maiyuri spoke up first. “If I may?” He saw he had everyone’s undivided attention. “Why not skip this pretense and just get right to the point of this matter?” He grinned wide, his yellow teeth revealing his malicious intent. “Give me the creature and let me dissect it to learn more about it. It’s clear that such a specimen would be beneficial in our conquest of the Hollows and the traitors. He’s something that no one thought possible until he appeared years ago; a Half-Hollow, Half-Soul Reaper hybrid! If I can take it apart quickly enough, I can learn much about the Hollows and perhaps even about the theoretical creatures known to be Hollows with Soul Reaper powers; Arrancars.”
Kenpachi stepped towards Maiyuri. “Oh, HELL no am I gonna stand by and let you kill one of my Squadmen!” He looked to Yamamoto. “Old Man Yama, I’m gonna kill this guy right now if that’s okay?” He reached for his sword as Maiyuri began reaching for his.
“Enough!” Yamamoto yelled. Both looked to him. “This is a matter to be voted on. Each Captain shall give ideas as to the fate of the Halfling. Captain Kurosuchi has provided his idea; dissection towards the art of learning an advantage against Sosuke Aizen. Does anyone else vote for this?” He took a glance around and saw no one else voted for Maiyuri’s plan. “Very well. Captain Kurosuchi, your plan is hereby denied. Stand down Captain Zaraki, unless you’ve a plan yourself?”
Kenpachi grinned a bit as he stood normally. “You bet your ass I do! Let the kid go and let him become a part of my Squad again! That way he can learn to control himself again!”
“Are there any who agree upon this plan?” Yamamoto asked the Captains. He looked around and saw that only two raised their hands; Komamura and Unohana. “There are two who choose to accept this plan. What are your reasons?”
Unohana spoke first. “While those few members of my own Squad weren’t severely injured, they weren’t killed. I am quite thankful for Kenpachi for teaching the boy that much restraint.”
“And I vote he be given the chance to finish his training,” Komamura began. “The boy could be quite powerful and very helpful in the future.”
Soi-fon laughed. Everyone looked to her. “He’s an annoyance, a waste of Soul Reaper resources, and needs to die. I’d say just kill him!”
Byakuya gave a nod. “I concur. There’s no telling when he could be a problem again. That Hollow half of his will prove problematic. To be frank; let his head roll.”
         Kenpachi growled. “You sons of-”
“Why not let him choose?” Toshiro voiced loudly. Everyone looked to him. “If he wants to die, let him choose how he dies, but if he wants to learn more, then let him fight. Let him train. Who are we to choose the fate of someone who, under no power of his own, had no understanding of what happened since he was sealed away?” A few of the others looked to each other out of surprise. “Well?”
Yamamoto looked around to everyone. “Are we in agreement to this?” He saw each of them give an agreeing look. “Bring him here.”

I looked around between the Captains and Head Captain. Aside from Captain Komamura and my own Captain, I knew each and every one of them hated me for who and what I was. And Captain Maiyuri wanted to dissect me while I still breathed. It was foolish of me to think they would give me a last request, but even I was interested in what was going to happen next.
“Rouge Soul Reaper Red of Squad Eleven,” the Head Captain, Yamamoto, began. “You are brought before the remaining members of the Thirteen Court Guard Squads-”
“You’re not all here,” I interrupted. “Where’s Shunsui and Joshiro?”
I could feel Captain Soi-fon glaring at me. “Shunsui is busy overlooking the repairs that not only you caused during your escape, but the most recent attack from the Hollows during the turmoil,” she explained with an irritated look. I glared back. “And Joshiro is under the weather again. His illness has prevented him from being here.”
“And the reason I’m here?” I asked. “I’m still in chains, my Spiritual Pressure is sealed, and my best friend, my Zanpakuto, is as far away from me as you can get it within the Seireitei. If you’re going to kill me, then do a dying man one last favor; shut up and get over with it.”
         “That’s my Squadmen!” Kenpachi laughed.
The Old Man tapped his can on the ground, drawing everyone’s attention and calling for silence. “You have been brought here to discuss your fate. There have been several ideas brought forth by several of the Captains here.” He opened his ever squinting eyes a bit. “And it has been decided that your fate is yours to decide alone.”
I raised a brow. “You honestly expect me to believe that?” I glared at the Old Man. “Stuff it up your wrinkly old ass!”
“It’s the truth,” Toshiro shouted at me. “That was my idea, to give you the chance to choose your fate. It’s your life; you’re the one to decide how it dies and the legacy that is to be left behind.”
“If I may speak frankly?” I asked, knowing full well I was already doing so. I saw Toshiro give a nod. “You are one of the last people in this room to want to give me a chance to choose my own fate Ice Cube.” I smirked a bit like my Captain. “Are you all hoping I’d choose to let you kill me? Forget it! I wanna live! I owe that bastard Ichigo a thorough beating! My fight was interrupted by my other side taking over! I’ll beat him next time!”
A member from the Stealth Corps. appeared behind Soi-fon. She turned to him, leaned in, and listened to his report. She gave a nod, the Squad Two member vanished, and she looked to everyone. “Report from the World of the Living. It would seem Ichigo Kurosaki and handful of his friends have begun their travel to Hueco Mundo to deal with the Arrancar threat and retrieve his missing friend.”
My ear twitched. “Arrancar…?” I grinned again, only wider. “Are they strong?”
“Lemme put it this way,” my Captain began. He pointed to Toshiro. “Only fighting one-on-one against him with his full power, and Toshiro there was only able to beat him after being free to release his true full power.”
I laughed loudly. “You weakling! You’re a Captain; you should have been more powerful without needing to release your seals!” I looked to all of them with a large smile. “I’ll be able to beat them all in one stroke. You want to know my fate? I chose to go to Hueco Mundo and face down these Arrancars myself! If I die, then you can retrieve my body to experiment on. But only if I die. If I'm alive by the time you all get off your asses and actually decide to do something, then I get to return to my squad and follow my rightful Captain.” I held up my shackled arms. “I’ll need the key to these first though, and the return of my sword.”
Byakuya looked to Kenpachi. “You’ve taught him everything you know when it comes to being rude, haven’t you?”
“What can I say?” Captain Zaraki replied. “Birds of dark feathers, and all that jazz.”

Within several minutes, I was before the Senkaimon, the Gateway to lead one to the World of the Living. Beside it was a devise of what I assumed was of Maiyuri’s design. It has a simple flat square sheet of metal with a glass screen with a hand print on the front. Maiyuri’s Lieutenant was holding it before me and explaining what it was for. Apparently, it was connected to the Senkaimon to allow me to travel immediately to Hueco Mundo. But in order to do that it needed to scan my DNA, hence the scanner.
“Just place your hand on this,” Nemu finished up. “And the Senkaimon will do the rest. You’ll arrive in Hueco Mundo in no time.
I finished strapping my zenpakuto onto my back. “And Maiyuri isn’t here to explain this because?”
“Master Maiyuri is preoccupied with another project,” she replied. “He explained everything to me to tell you.”
I sighed and placed my hand on the scanner. Within moments, the Senkaimon opened with a blinding light. My grin returned as I sped right through as Nemu began talking again. I don’t care what she had to say, a new challenge was waiting for me to kill. Once I was at the other end, all I saw was a large sandy landscape, a midnight pitch black starless sky, and to the far left of me was a large white castle. I could feel quite a few powerful energies coming from within, and I just knew one of the biggest was Ichigo. I grinned wide and turned to the castle. From behind me, several loud roars sounded. Looking back, I saw several large Hollows glaring down at me.
I grinned wider. “So, you little punks are the first to sate the thirst of my blade? I was hoping to kill some Arrancars after waking up.” I drew my blade as the air felt super-heated. “So then, whose first?” I turned to them as they charge. “Consume all in your flames.” My blade caught ablaze as a second blade formed from the butt of the handle. “Kasai!” With but a swing of my blade, the Hollows were reduced to black ashes amongst the white.
Turning back to the castle, I rested the flat of one of the twin blades of Kasai on my shoulder. “Well my friend, we’ve a lot more ashes to spread before the day is done. You up for a little morning exercise?”
Beside me, my sword’s spirit solidly formed. Her red hair was long; down to the small of her back, and was made of literal fire. Her outfit leaves nothing to the imagination; a simple bra of flames with a pair of burning shorts, knee high laced sandals, and her eyes were two different colors. Her left eye was yellow and her right was orange. She rested one hand on her hip and leaned on it.
“If by exercise you mean pick off more of the weaklings that remain within there that Ichigo and his friends never bother to kill themselves?” She shrugged. “I suppose it’s better than nothing.”
Kasai’s solid form vanished into her blade form. I rushed towards the castle, licking my lips in anticipation. This is going to be fun.
