At last, here is my first much requested and long awaited tutorial in digital painting, using Photoshop.The tutorial describes step by step the creation process of the Dreamy Forest .

Hi, for delails or refining edges, I use a sharp or small-sized brush, if that's what you mean.

The basic idea for rendering leaves and foliage is to paint the "impression" of their general form and volume, rather than painting each leaf separately.

You've got some cool ideas, thanx. Btw, did you know you can zoom in and out by
ctrl + and ctrl - ? Eliminates the mouse when zooming entirely

Hey man I'm really interested in checking out the Tut, but I can't get it to download right. I get the images to open but not the step by step text portion...any ideas?

First extract the whole zip somewhere, then try to open the html. Don't move any of the files inside. Then it should work I guess...

Your tutorial helped me a lot! But I have one question, and that is, how do you get the shading and lighting to be so smooth? Did you do any smudging at all?

Well, I guess having a tablet it's easier to control the flow of the brush and making shadows/lighs smoother. Otherwise you can try lowering considerably the opacity/flow of your brush for better control.
