Hi there, I'm looking for images of swan wings for a drawing reference for my IGCSE art examination. I hope you don't mind that I'd like to use these wings for a reference, but unfortunately I will not be receiving my art back from Cambridge so I cannot give you a link or anything.

Thank you very much for providing this picture

Great moment!
You so need a dSLR to harness your skills properly.

... I had to google dSLR and I'm not 100% sure about what it is, but it would be nice to upgrade to a better camera, though I think I'd have to win the lottery to buy one :/ (a 16-year old without a part-time job might struggle to raise around Β£300).

Oh. It happens. I'm 18, I don't have a job, and I own a Nikon D300.

WOW. So that's (partially) why your photos are so clean and crisp!

Hmm..... well I must admit it just never occured to me that the reason I'm not getting any better photos might be because of my camera. Maybe if I make an effort I could at least start saving up for a new camera... it's a shame no-one likes my photos enough to buy the prints

I'm pretty sure most people who buy prints buy them from people who use cameras like mine. After all, you only see proper profesional photographers using big chunky cameras like mine, right?
Save up for it, and to an extent your photos will be of awesome quality.
Trust me, dSLRs are the answer to all life's problems.

Haha very true (uber clunky camera = lolz, tired arms and good photos).

But before I start saving up, how do I know that my finepix isn't a dSLR? Would it say somewhere if it was? (I just wnat to double check coz' all the camera lingo confuses me immensly).

Well, a dSLR is massive. And it has interchangable lenses. I don't think your Finepix has lenses you can swap over whenever.
Have a read of this.

However, owning a big camera doesn't make you a better photographer, only you, the artist can do that, but dSLRs really help. Like a photo taken with a compact camera can be good, but if the same photo was taken with a dSLR, it'd just be awesome.

That helped loads

And I fully understand that no matter what equipment you have, the photos you take or the pictures you draw are only as good as you can make them

Now to raise the money... O_O
