absolutely love all your bird photos I am using some to help me sketch little dragon/bird creatures. mostlyΒ for fun at the moment butΒ if anything comes of them and I end up uploading them then I will credit you and put a link to your pages

... I had to google dSLR and I'm not 100% sure about what it is, but it would be nice to upgrade to a better camera, though I think I'd have to win the lottery to buy one :/ (a 16-year old without a part-time job might struggle to raise around Β£300).

Haha very true (uber clunky camera = lolz, tired arms and good photos).
But before I start saving up, how do I know that my finepix isn't a dSLR? Would it say somewhere if it was? (I just wnat to double check coz' all the camera lingo confuses me immensly).

Well, a dSLR is massive. And it has interchangable lenses. I don't think your Finepix has lenses you can swap over whenever.

However, owning a big camera doesn't make you a better photographer, only you, the artist can do that, but dSLRs really help. Like a photo taken with a compact camera can be good, but if the same photo was taken with a dSLR, it'd just be awesome.
