The worst thing is that he's gonna wake up from the only happiness and escape he possibly has, realise that it was not real, he's still in the reality of Cortex's cruel treatment and he has to get up and ready for this crap over and over again with no hope of ever being truly free or getting what he always wanted.
Why the f**k hasn't N.Gin got the ''Alas Poor Villain'' trope on TV Tropes already?!

at least he spends every day surrounded from all sides by his favorite thing while working on board cortex's space station. all he has to do is glance up from his work and look out those huge windows to get a view anyone would kill for of the wide-open cosmos. it keeps him going, taking it all in and thinking about how maybe some day things will finally be different
