'Cuz I'm planning on making one and I got no idea how to put holes 'cuz when I try, it gets messy

Sorry for this late answer... And sorry for my bad english.
I have make my wild mask with tente carpet foam, I link the material in french, you can find the equivalent in your country.

you can search "mousse de polyéthylène" if you want but i don't know the name in english, sorry.
I have cut the foam for the part white, triangular form. I used a metal cylinder to make the holes.
I used blue "créamousse" (i don't know the name in english too) for inside the mask.
for the last explain, sorry for google trad XD:
to hang the mask, without any apparent fastener, I take the branches of glasses that I twisted and integrated between the carpet foam and "créamousse"
