Description I started this about a week ago but I didn't finish it until now. I got the inspiration for it when they had an event at the public schools called "See You At the Pole". (It's where Christians at your public school meet at the flag pole at a certain time and pray, sing, etc.) Well, I went and did it. All the other schools had like 40 or more kids but my school only had 7.. I was really disappointed. The kids who were there said that there were more people doing it but last year while they were singing and playing guitar, alot of people mocked them and teased them and all that stuff. I guess this year, they were afraid to step up to the plate.

2 Peter 1:19 And we have the word of the prophets made more certain, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.

Proverbs 6:23 For these commands are a lamp, this teaching is a light, and the corrections of discipline are the way to life

Anyways, that was my inspiration. It felt like I was like a little lamp (God being the light of the lamp) surrounded by darkness. Or like a blue blob surrounded by red dots. I like how this picture came out..It looks simple but..good I guess.

Hi Our country (USA) is facing some dark times in so many ways and I've been feeling a bit overwhelmed while I try so hard to fight the darkness and rescue our people from the things that would steal, kill and destroy.  However, the Lord has been moving me to quit fighting the darkness and to just shine the Light He has placed inside of me.  In John 1 it says that the light cannot ever be extinguished by darkness!  In Eph. 6 it says that the battle is spiritual... Thank you for blessing me and inspiring me to shine my Light <3

This si really awesome and I like your inspiration....I was having a pretty down day and finding this made me smile...I know it's been five or so years since you posted it but know it still is touching lives, bringing smiles and hope where it floats. I just wish more people would see beyond what they physically see, y'know? :/

And too many people look too much into doing everything from in-between their residence to the air port, rather then preparing for the actual flight to come and the journey afterwards.

I've been to 'see you at the pole'.
I'm lucky enough to live in a community where there's a church literally on every corner, and 75% of the school claims to be christian.
But I've also been in situations where I've felt like this.
This is a great visual representation of that feeling.
Great work!

Have a blessed day!

we ad see you at the pole, too. More than Seven showed up but... you would expect more in the area i live in... (we had less than 40 also)
It is kinda disappointing when you expect a lot more people to show up :/
I really love the transitions and colors, and the reason behind this piece is even better

You know, nowadays [eople make it kinda hard to be like...religious publicly... I'm glad your school does that.

Yeah.. They say if you bring a Bible to my school they'll take it away and stuff. (I did bring mine once but I hid it the best I can lol) But the See You At The Pole event was run by students so the school really had nothing to do with it

Geeze, I wish our school system had something like that. Then again, I'd probably be the only one to show up from my school.

It really is simple but it shows a lot. Sometimes you don't need complex pictures to show something very deep and meaningful.
And I can relate to this too. Very nice.

Thank you.

And actually, See You At The Pole is runned by the students. For us public schoolers, it is very hard to show our faith and love for God (especially without being teased...) because the rest of the school pushes it away. But we have to do our best to show God's love in the public schools and not be discouraged.

Oh yeah? Well then I like your fellow students for having that kind of courage. If I could high five them all I would.
True true. My only issue is that I literally have no Christian friends in my school...save for maybe one who seems like he's more...learning then actually fully there if you know what I mean.

I know the feeling too actually.. It's true, I do have Christian friends but either they go to another school or they are homeschooled. >.<; Most of the time, I only see them during youth group, church things, sometimes we'll just hang out but since I got school most of the week for 6 hrs I don't seem em as much.

Hey, maybe you can help teach the Christian friend you have at school? Like if he has any questions about things or is confused about something you can help give him the answer the best you can. (Or if you don't know the answer, you can always find someone to who would know the answer. )

Oh man, that sucks.
I wish I had more. I had a youth group but...can't go there anymore |D ;; (18's the cutoff age I guess for them).
But yeah, I hope you get to see them more. I know I need to find some more Christian friends to surround myself with D|

Yeah, I would like to. I don't see him very much though and it's hard to just bring up the subject randomly |D ;
