this is a what if.....in the legend of zelda starting at the ocarina of time there is a spilt in the story where the future and the past spilt from links childhood and adulthood.....if zelda didnt have the power to return link to the past and navi still left he would try to relive his life in the kokiri forest as best he could...he entered the lost woods in an attempt to go home....but anyone who doesnt have a fairy that enters the woods is doomed to get lost and turn into a stalfos....and thusly he did*note* in ancient hylian the signpost states

in my description it explains that this stalfos is link if zelda was unable to return him to his own time and he tried to go to the kokiri forest got lost in the lost woods and became a stalfos

well the future link portrayed here would go to the wind waker timeline and would be skewed from the twilight princess timeline...since young link would lead to majoras mask and the future caused by gannon would eventually lead to wind waker that technically wouldnt be right but he still could have done this in his childhood just after he grew up

well since link went back to being a child at the end of ocarina of time the timeline that leads to twilight princess is the original correct timeline....wind waker is an alternate timeline

so the timeline where link saved the land by traveling into the future is the one that goes to windwaker? lol unless instead of just one timeline there is three. the beginning the fake fute and the alternate future. yep i'm confused again. haha likes playing with your mind. oh and sorry for just blabbing on about this I get carried away.

no there is the future where link defeats gannon which leads to wind waker and there is the past where link gets gannon arrested and this leads to twilight princess......the first is the alternate timeline and the latter is the original timeline

ah, much clearer. And some how all the other games fit in the line, like link to the past, zelda 1 and 2 etc. can't wait till skyward sword though. But all I know about that one it that it comes before ocarina lol.

i believe that skyward sword takes place in that mythical city that was the home to the sky temple in Twilight Princess but before the city collapsed

um twilight princess said the oocca lived there but it wasnt their society it was the remnants of a greater society which explains the hylians living there
