Description Yes.

Space.

Sadly this is probably going to straight into the "paintings Inseng will never finish" folder.

I swung by this pic again to see if it had been completed or updated, but WHOOP guess the "paintings Inseng will never finish" folder is aptly-named. Ahaha!

You really should finish this someday, though, because it's just so beautiful. The texture, work with color (always your strength!), and showcasing of the design are simply astounding. The chronodwellers are a cool mix of beautiful and imposing, and thank god they're one of the gentler races in your galaxy! If I saw a face like that in a dark alleyway... man I'd SPLIT. :U I'm curious about this pic's background, though. Did you do it using a space photograph, or are you just damn good at space textures? Either way, you MUST tell me how you did it! It's simply amazing.

I have no critiques to offer this one except that it's WOEFULLY UNFINISHED and that's a shame. Finish this sucka! It really does deserve to be completed. C:

Are those eyes, by the way? I don't recall reading much about Chronodweller biology, and now I'm curious... ahaha stop it, you!

Perhaps I'll finish a different chronodweller image instead of this one. If I leave something for too long I lose all motivation to work on it, anymore, and this wasn't really something I wanted to finish to start with.

I'm glad you like the colours! They were fun to mix. The back is actually a space texture overlayed and then painted over to get that deep space look, with little swirlies overlaid on top of that for the more mystical feel. No, I can't paint space at all, really, even though I do love it to bits.

The four little white dots in the channels are indeed eyes, yes. c:
They give off a really faint glow, and chronodwellers have sideways eyelids. When they close their eyes you can't even see them anymore, they just sort of get swallowed into the face. Their faces are made of a hard bone-like material and are always a light beige colour. I'd say touching one feels like touching soft, cold bone, really.

But I blather as always, don't I. XD

Aww doncha hate it? That happens all the time with me. Perhaps that explains why 90% of the things I produce are sketches!

Huuh, that's an interesting technique! I'm not a big texture user and do my space stuff by hand, but if such a simple technique gets such good results I may give it a try. Do you know any site or resource for getting good space textures? The only one I have on hand is a massive starscape from NASA, ahaha. <3

Aha yeah, most of my things only live to be sketches with half-baked colours, too. XD

I usually just delve into google images and see what I can find, to tell the truth. I don't use textures very often, either, but I couldn't pass up getting an interesting effect happening.

I wanna be a Chronodweller when I grow up.

The unfinished look is actually pretty cool. I'm digging it.
