The palette knife is fun, isn't it? I've been playing with it lately-those edges, those textures, the smears of unmixed paint being pushed around-it looks great and it's a very freeing exercise.

Yes, there is something very gratifying, - even cathartic, for me at least, Ā - about using the knife and 'giving in' to to a more simplified, impressionistic approach sometimes.
