Very well done! This and some of the other paintings in your gallery remind me so much of Caravaggio, so I think that just makes me like your paintings even more. They have that lovely manipulation of shading and color which was always my favorite part of his work. I can see a little bit of Michelangelo as well, but that might just be because I always imagine him with an obsession of musculature and naked people. Do you have any specific inspiration (artist or otherwise) when you paint?

Thank you for your kind comments. I really like the dutch masters and, while not pretending to be anywhere close, I draw much inspiration from the works of Caravaggio and Rembrandt in particular.

Hi and thanks again for your kind interest in my work! 'The Master' would be fine or even my latest 'Throw Down' (or whatever you think would be encouraging or inspirational for others). Thanks again!
Sincerely,
JDG
