For me, these shots were all about innocence. I didn’t want the end product to focus so much on glamour but on simple pure and innocent beauty. The white of the dress symbolizes purity, and the flowers on both the dress and around Katy in the grass add to fragrant atmosphere, I suppose. The ringlets in Katy’s hair and her expression in the left frame aimed to portray her as younger than she is so that her appearance is more innocent and simply cute, while in the right frame her smile and hand posture show her carefree and relaxed nature that is young and unspoilt. Hope you like.
