My friend went to Mardi Gras this year and brought me back this beautiful mask. She bought one in red and one in black for me and another friend of hers and because I saw her first I got to choose which color I wanted. I chose the red because red is "my color" according to my chinese horoscope and it actually does look good on me with my dark hair and pale skin. I decided the moment I saw it that I had to take some photos of it. I couldn't decide which shot I liked best so I decided to make a 3 layered piece with my top three favorites. Please Enjoy.PS If ever in my life I get to go to a masque I'm going to wear this one to it!

Oh my word I love that so much. I collect Venetian masks, I have two brought to me from Mardi Gras a few years back and I adore them. This is SO beautiful.

I like masks, but I don't collect them. I really like to look at them though! If I had friends who would do Masques then I would probably start collecting them because I could wear them then

I think what started my obsession with collecting the masks was Masquerade balls, which stems from my love of The Labyrinth. There is something mysterious and alluring about them.

I have like five of these, plus two more that are a bit different. I bought the five at The Venetian in Las Vegas. VERY expensive cause they were made in Italy. I LOVE masks.

0.0 I never thought of that. It's hard enough taking photos yourself >w< I've never done a photoshoot before with someone else taking the photos. I'd have to find someone to do it first.

It is a pain in the butt taking photos of yourself, I always take a ton of them so I hope to get at least one or two that work out right.
Well maybe now is the time to have a photoshoot with someone! It would be fun to get all dressed up in a fancy ballroom dancing gown with your hair all up in curls and whatnot with your pretty mask on!

Haha I know what you mean. I gave up doing it because I'm super picky about my photography.
It would be but I don't really know many people who would do it. I mean I know I'm working with other digital majors, but I'm not close to them.

I had no idea what she was going to bring back for me. She said she would bring something, but I couldn't even begin to imagine. I was quite happy with it though!

ah cool! my friend bought me a mask from mardi gras, too! I asked her to choose one for me, something that was a little different and she came back with this really neat black one! I have two others that i bought from the mall. Maybe i'll take photos of them too and post them up since i haven't posted anything in like.... forever. I wore one of my masks for Halloween one year! it went well with a flapper costume! I'll have to post that one up too if i have any photos.

just been busy with work and kind of regretting renewing my current lease... i'm going to go ahead and look NOW for a new apartment so i can be ready when my lease is up again. Maybe if i work real hard i can work up money for a down payment for a small house. right now i'm working hard on saving up for my vacation in 4 months but with unexpected things coming up like my car getting a flat and needing new tires to surprise pet problems.... its not easy right now. its spring break and work is killer so i'm more busy then usual.
