That's Willy the pangolin. Oh boy, that was an epic journey I set out on. But I did finish him after several months. You can see him here:

Several months might sound a lot but when you look at this design and number of scales than it makes sense. Did you ever think you will not finish it? :]

Hm, there were many times, when I was at a loss how to proceed and was wondering if I would be able to attach the parts. Since the scales were all stitched on starting from the tip of the tail and moving forwars, I couldn't assemble the plush like you'd usually be doing it and that was a nightmare. The whole process also caused a lot of stress on the tendons inside my hands, so I had to take a month's break, just to let them heal. I also remember worrying a lot about how I would finish the plush and make the last added scales seem like they came up through the skin, rather than just adding them on top. In between I also just needed a break from it all. It was a very taxing plush, but I'm glad that I finished it in the end. xD;

Yes, and cutting them out one by one. With my later chibi pangolins I swapped to using glue instead. Makes it so much easier!

Yes, he is the latest addition in my "Siesta-universe" (I need to find a better name for that xDDDD). I have a number of paintings that are set in an asian jungle with an ever increasing number of inhabitants. So far the only drawing that contains Willy is my current ID, but I am planning on drawing him in a Children's story, along with Al'Capone the Tiger (the mischievous villain of the jungle).

Siesta is derived from the first jungle picture I drew about two years ago or so. It was named "Siesta in the jungle" and featured Pete the Crocodile digesting his rather unruly latest meal (the unfortunate Al'Capone). The Term Siesta got stuck while responding to various comments and it's traveled on from there with every new craft or picture. Siesta-Universe is summing it all up. xD
I don't know if Al'Capone is a truly evil character. As a predator it's natural that he is feared across the jungle but it doesn't have to mean that he is truly bad. So far I've settled for mischeivous until I get to know him better. :3

Ah. Perhaps we should ask the jungle animals about Al'Capone's true character? Truly bad or not, I bet the crocodile didn't care one bit about it. Makes no difference for him. He's a predator too. I wonder if this tiger was his first ever or he's used to this kind of big meals.

Hm, that is an interessting idea. I doubt he will be very popular then. You are quiet right about Pete not really caring much for Al'Capones character as a fellow predator. Most of the time they aren't fighting over the same meal, so he isn't all that interested, but since Al'Capone has been eluding his jaws for years, they have developed a relationship of sorts over the years. ;3 Speaking of questionaries. Pete, although a predator no less dangerous than the tiger, would probably be more popular with most jungle animals since he only hunts in the water. (providing the questionary was made before he caught Al'Capone, afterwards he'll really be popular xD)
And Cornelius couldn't care less. He's too big to be on either menuecard. Must be kind lonely... He's missing out on all the buzz.

The little one is Lil'Timmy (snagged the name from the streets in Stormwind, WoW) and the baby croc is little Murph(y). He calls Pete his uncle, but I'm not sure if they're really related or not.

Art blocks can be evil indeed. Had one that lasted for a very long time and I've never really found back to the stamina of old. On the other hand, when I do draw something, it feels very rewarding to be able to say "this is my work of my own creation and not just another fanart". x3

I did, he's a funny boy. I like how he's always there in every jungle picture. He probably knows everything that's going on there. I think he could write a book about this jungle himself...
