So I'm stuck on Long Island, due to the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, and while I'm here, I'm helping the parents clean out some of the junk that has accumulated over the years.

Sometimes, though, I find old, sentimental things and artwork.

This is one of those finds.

I know this photo doesn't do it justice, but it's all sorts of mixed media: watercolors, acrylics, colored pencils, fine point pens, White-Out, and I even think, some blood...

I have a note on the back where I signed it that says: "BALANCE: created ca. April 1997", so I honestly wouldn't put it past my (newly minted) 17-year-old self to include blood in there somewhere...

I wonder if I should re-create this at some point.
