Welcome to my humble abode, where life is lost and fate is told
I hold within my hand, this hand, the story which in your own
Call me a prophet or call me a witch, but all must submit when their time is through
I am what you see, what you can’t see, that’s me who rides upon the winds of time,
And looks down upon the mortal race with contempt within my eye
I won’t hold back, when I come for you, I’ll come, I’ll come, you know that I will
I’ll bring you away from this place that you love, your family, your friends, I’ll come
Fear me, know me, I am the true god, the one who controls the world
Who can challenge me, I know of not one, who has ever escaped my grasp
Love while you can, and live while your able, I’ll come to see you soon
I’ll whisk you away in the cold grip of my claws, away, away we’ll go
And I’ll come for your children, and I’ll come for your friends
I’ve an eye an all who you love, that I do, and I’ll take them away one by one
You ask why I do this, are you sure that you should, are you sure you really want to know?
Well I’ll tell you then, since you’ve asked me, I shall, I'll answer your question in full
Jealousy spurs me, it drives me, enslaves me, this hate I feel for all living things
I envy your life, your love, and your friends, for I have none of which to speak
And I hate you for your love of your life, when it’s barely a life that you live.
So short, unknown, so soon forgotten, and yet you hold it as if it were gold
I can’t understand, immortal creature that I am, how one can love that so
As if it is precious, this short life you live, and all the things you collect
Why do you collect when you cannot keep, when you will not stay?
I don’t understand and so I dislike, I envy, I hate, I take it all away.
