Okay so. I mentioned that Karkat got some impressive scars while escaping the Alternian Imperial Military after he was revealed as a mutant. And... well, here you go. Some symbolic scars, courtesy of a particularly dangerous kind of Alternian raygun. That's the fun thing about rayguns, they're fictional, you can get them to damage in pretty much any way you want. Problem with these ones is that poor Tavros got his left leg damaged in the same way, so fitting him with a roboleg got a little... painful.

Back to Karkat, though. And Terezi. Karkat is extra self-conscious about these scars because he spent so many sweeps trying his best to avoid scarring of any kind. Especially around Terezi, who as his matesprit has already seen him a little more whole. Terezi doesn't really give a damn, though, and actually finds his scars sort of sexy. She tries her best to make Karkat realize that with varying amounts of success, depending on how much Karkat hates himself today.

Bluh, those don't even look like scars at all, do they. I'm crap at scars, and reference pics that don't make me lose my lunch are hard to come by. I tries, at least. Terezi's wearing her civilian clothes, which are far less fancy than what trolls used to wear in Alternia's past, and-- yup, that pendant is exactly what you think it is.
