So the "demon" Edwart is going after is none other than Sally. Reason being is because the two hate each other as the other knows what the other is. You may be thinking, "Okay? So what?" Let me break it down for you.

1. Both know a hunter of their own that would take down the other in a heartbeat. Edwart has one of his gullible hunters now. You'll know Sally's soon enough.

2. It's a way of keeping their identity safe, as if the other slips up, they can both be killed for it. Example, public fighting and they both accidentally reveal what they are, thus become either scientific discoveries/experiments, and possible death.

Lesson over as I'm too lazy to keep explaining.

The last panel of "Twinkle, twinkle little bat, how I wonder what your at, up above the world you fly, like a tea tray in the sky. Twinkle twinkle twinkle twinkle..."

Come from "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" from Chapter7: The Mad Tea Party sang by none other than the Hatter, and the Dormouse who did the continuous "twinkle twinkle" in his sleep....I know because I've read this book and it's sequel at least a thousand times and that's not exaggerating
