The same thing happened during the Plague of Lyon in 1628-1629. Robbers took their chance to pillage the houses of the dead. It enraged the community so much that they killed dozens of them, mostly after a rumour that they were protestants. Some were also hung by the authorities.

Thanks for the info. Even with death some people will still show disrespect to others and rob their bodies or grave. Hopefully they will suffer eternal damnation.

Actually, for the Lyon Plague, I'm writing an assingment on it. Pretty rough stuff to be truthful. I hope I wont have to live through something like that.

I think most criminals are haunted by their actions and hopefully they will pay their dues in Hell. Some may find redemption but the remainder will have nightmares for eternity.

This is a very good poem.
Also it seems like it could be made into a TV series or a movie.

Why Toulouse ? It's funny to read that because I live in this city.

I was told the details by a friend who said that some robbers in Marseilles or Toulouse had found a cure for the plague. I believe it was a specially mixed kind of vinegar. The details are a bit sketchy but it made for a good story. I think the plague was a devastating disease that caused misery throughout the world. I have an interest in the darker side of life. I hope you have a good time in Toulouse.
