meet Gaila, the father of Rin and Corvo. A colossus earth demon building an army. he's a cunning and cruel being, with power to rival an divine being. Gaila is the reason Rin's home world was destroyed in the first place and flung to another dimension.

instead of trying to destroy his kids himself he lets other threat to do his job for him. he doesn't see Rin mostly as a threat. but no that Rin's becoming more tougher, he's starting to rethink of his disappointing daughter.
Gaila uses a human form to make deals and speak with others. how else would he convince Rin's mother to sleep with him XD

now one more thing to note. most of you would remember that Rin's father was Chernabog. however I wanted Rin's dad to be more original and have a connection to Rin's earth abilities.
