Finished it sooner than I thought I would.
For the 's Monotone Contest. I just felt in a cold mood - our summer in Idaho is ending already and it just freakin' got here! >
Another seven months of winter, I don't hope!
So as I said in the Scraps area, this is a sort of hats off to 's Evo comic - check it out if you haven't already.
It's another tough winter for the Brotherhood boys as the bills pile up and the heat gets turned off.

God, I love such a realistic interpretation of how hard it must get for them in that shitty boarding house, especially in the dead of winter. I like them all having this brotherly relationship, especially after going through stuff like this together.

It's so adorably cute! The over all feel makes me slightly sad for them, like they all just need warm hugs, but it's so sweet how they're all cuddled up to help each other stay warm. I love it.

heheheh, i cant help but smile when i look at this!!! its like all teh bickering and complaining they do in the day just stops, and they realize that they need eachother at this moment! so cute! (i tend to smile more and more whilst looking at Pietro....[but then again, he IS my favourite mutant...]! he just looks so cold and lonely, and unloved[even all us fan girls of him know that cant be true!])

The whole concept is so amazingly cute. The colouring and shading are fantastically expressive and really evocative. Its the middle of a scorching summer here and just looking at this made me feel cold, yet all warm inside from the utter adorableness of those boys . Todd's knee and Pietro's hair and the mist from their breath all leap out at me. Im so faving this.

I mean- wow. I'm so honored that you drew this, and just so floored at how well it captures what I've been trying to do in the comic. I wish I knew how to do those little puffs of cold-breath for the comic, because they would be EVERYWHERE. And the snow falling behind the windows... just perfect.
This is the sort of image that I'd use for a cover, if EE ever got bound into an actual comic book... which it won't, but the emotion of this is JUST too good to be true.
