Zoe Saldana played Uhura like such a bitch in the two new movies. which is disappointing but the original Uhura was nicely done by Nichelle Nichols

I really loved the original Uhura, but I must confess that I also liked the new one. That said, I can agree with you: there are times in the new movies where Uhura is absolutely insufferable, but I think they tried to make her feel younger and less inexperienced than her older version.
There are also times were she is a badass like the Original Serie character xD
