It's been a while I know.
I was on a 2 week geology field course from may until just a week ago. Here is a painting that I've been working on. Velociraptor! 
in all his feathered glory! Based on the roadrunner, I've always imagined velociraptor looking like a roadrunner with teeth and claws. Great painting practice too. Still need a lot of improvement but this was fun and I'm mostly happy with this. 9 x 12 in Strathmore 140 lb watercolor paper, Reeves gouache and prismacolor colored pencils

I really like the roadrunner-esque color scheme of the Velociraptor AWA the crumpled paper texture of the mountains.

Looks very nice! Though sorry to dissapoint your road runner imagination but the crested dromaeosaurs was just a mistake made with a microraptor fossil, they actually had smooth aerodynamic heads like eagles.
