Description
I named my reboldeux soldier Edelweiss. It's a white, small flower, Edel meaning White and Weiss meaning Noble. Edelweiss being White NobleI happen to like giving pretty and suitable names for my UPCs in Granada Espada. If anything, I absolutely loved this UPC when I first played the game. I only stopped using her 'cause I started getting better, stronger stat-ed UPCs.
At one point, I wanted to master my reb soldier, but her lack of costumes totally killed that drive.
However, a prominent figure in Sword2 Art forums once mentioned that this character deserved more love.
I started drawing this when I finished Halo: Reach. Somehow, Noble 6 reminded me of Edelweiss.
I've always wanted to draw a picture of the stance Equites, and so this was simply perfect. The only screw-up I made with this pic was that I drew the head in the dead-center of the paper. In the end, I had to tape another piece of paper to give this drawing the space I needed.
Fortunately enough, I'm proficient with photoshop and managed to hide it (almost completely)

PS: I made her red to make this drawing more striking. Gonna upload a separate BW version... maybe once I get a new laptop, I'll fully color this pic with full backgrounds and shet

Nice! Not a clue where the line would be! I tell ya, I really like your pen/pencil style- sharp lines, defined concept, lots of details. And I really think you've got this picture down! The pose looks doable, the proportions seem right, I think you've got it! This is, legitimately, just a great picture!!!! GREAT JOB!! (Ha, and I understand uploading a copy just so it'd be safe

ahah you know it. Now the only way I can find old files that vanished with my HD is now with dA. Glad I've uploaded a bunch of unfinished works previously.

Just wanted to confirm though... someone said that her head was slightly big and placement was tad bit off. Also said the angles of the left/right hand seem weird

They MIGHT be. I can't be sure, though. Unfortunately, my understanding of anatomy has some gaps in it too, still, haha! My answer would be to make that pose yourself, take a photo, and just see if everything makes sense.
Oh, no wait, I see the hands now. They each look fine, but the left hand is positioned like the sword should be going over her shoulder and the right hand looks like is should be going the direction she's looking, forward. So the handle should be bent, haha. Head- not a clue

Yeah the mistakes on the hands were spot-on, though I still can't really see the head placement problems... the size did seem a -little- big though

embarrassing as it is, I did try posing in the mirror for references... What I don't understand is that I followed it exactly. How on earth did I screw up on the hands !?
I'm guessing the problem might be the sword lol, I drew it in like 12 minutes 'cause I was so excited to scan and post this..

You know what epic mistake I keep repeating? Not following my plan! I'll have a great schematic or reference, I'll get so far in and be doing great, and then just stop using it!!!! Then, everything goes to shit! I eventually have to pull back out my reference and be blown away by how far I've come from the plan, and then I suddenly understand why I'm having difficulty or why nothing seems to look right!
