Description I was playing with the Sine-mod-III formula today. I think I've used this formula only one time before. Those formula is incredible, with it you can create astonishing complex layers.
Would you think that this image used only one layer for the shape and one layer for the coloring? Though the more complex the layer, the more difficult it's to find a workable coloring mode. So I needed to do some postwork for the coloring in PS. Hope you like it.

Wow, that's some great structures for just two layers, Denise! I'll have to put exploring Sine-mod-III on my to do list, I don't think I've ever tried it.
You did a great job on the coloring, I always loved how well pink and green complimented each other. The framing is right up my alley too! Lovely work all around!

Thank you so much for the very lovely comment, Lin.
I found so many different really cool layers, I never can use them all.
I think with some the coloring is a bit difficult, but it's lot of fun
to tweak the params to find new wow-shapes or structures.

Superb colour work and the framing sets the main structure off perfectly,

Wobei ich es ziemlich schwierig finde die üblichen Danksagungen, die sich im Englischen ganz normal anhören, ins Deutsche zu übertragen. Außer vielen Dank für den , fällt mir nicht viel Gescheites ein.

Simple in terms of layers but definitely a lot to see. You did a great job with the coloring, imho. I like the frame you chose to make, too, as its complexity complements the fractal.

Sine-mod-III can be very interesting sometimes. There are some great shapes in there...

I'm still very fascinated about the very unusaul structures or shapes I've found lately.
But to me it's extrem difficult to color these one-layer-images.
But I'm already happy to have them saved and to look at them in B&W from time to time...LOL

That looks like a pretty cool formula, Denise, and you did a wonderful job with the colouring.

I must remember to have a play with this myself sometime.

This formula really is good for lots of surprises. I had so much fun tweaking the params from my start layer. I only think the coloring is a bit difficult.
Thanks for the lovely comment, Chris.

Very beautiful job texturing! This is a great example of needing to see the full view of the image to appreciate it. I especially like the shadowy lines on the flower. Sometimes the most beautiful fractals are the ones that have the fewest layers.

I love your fractal I was wanting to know if you'll be posting larger sizes... like 1024 X 768 in the future? This size is causes distortion when viewed full screen

I'm not sure what this meant: "This size is causes distortion when viewed full screen." Can you help with an explanation?

Hi

Because your image is set at 900 X 681 ... that causes ditortion for someone using a higher setting. Mine is set at 1024 X 768. So any images that are not at least those dimentions will cause it to look distorted when viewed at any less resolution. Most people these days have the resolution set even higher than 1024 X 768. I keep mine at that setting because I have over 5000 pics that require that resolution.

Keep a smile on

I'm sorry, but I still don't understand your problem. My monitor is set to 1280x1024 and in office it's even higher because of a 22" widescreen monitor. And no matter at which monitor I check my images I never noticed distortions. The only thing I could imagine is that you use or look the images as desctop wallpaper set to stretching? And I'm pretty sure your described problem can't happen if you look the images with a browser. What happen if you look a panorama piece? I'm pretty sure if you look the images with a browser the distortion will NOT happen. OK, maybe I'm totally wrong, but I'm still pretty clueless....

The secret wiht lots of the formulas is to tweak more than one of the parameters to find some interesting shapes. And of course sometimes you'll need patience to find beauty.
