Ik that feel a way too much, I got a lot of experience as carpenter (Woodworking), sharpening my pencil with a cutterblade.

i've used scissors to sharpen pencils

there were good choices to make- that was not one of them

My sharpener is pretty bad so I have to do this sometimes.
(Though I don't think using a sharpener would be any less painful for a pencil.)
