This amazing piece of work is of Eriylia, my mate whom some of you may know about. She was a Night-Maiden, an elite group of specially trained female warriors who's role was to defend the elders from attack by the enemy, using their beauty to remain unsuspected.

Eriylia was one such Night-Maiden, whom I found once resting in my cave. We argued briefly but what male can argue aggressively against someone as beautiful as her?

She helped me during my times of need and though we never became mates technically (Night-Maidens swear an oath when they begin training to remain mate-less and therefore devoted to their duties), we referred to each other as so.

Then tragically one night, we were attacked by the Fel and I was taken down. The Dictator was about to deliver a fatal blow to my neck when Eriylia leaped forward and got hit instead in her own neck. I was furious and only just managed to control my rage as I fought the Dictator until he fled but the damage had already been done; Eriylia died in my arms not long after.

Ever since it has haunted me that I should've stopped her, that I should've been the one to take the hit, not her.
