Description For those people who asked..

Ok, so apparently I have a thing for anthros. I'm not sure if this is something that's been around in my mind for a while now or if it's just a recent thing in my attempt to vary my area of artistic dabbling, and no offence, but humans got a little boring after all the anime scribbles in high school. Or maybe it's just that the little squirrels and birds in my back yard are a lot more adorable and innocent than the pot smoking gothic teens who wander around the neighbourhood.

Anyway, the funny thing here is the general take on anthros that I've seen on the web. The first conclusion I've seen a large majority of the people draw is:

anthro = furry porn = sicko = beastiality = mental instability = autistic trauma = satanic advocate

So, with that kind of pressure on people everywhere, no wonder many of the artists are rather underground or keep quiet about their likes and dislikes. Personally I find goths and morbidity a lot more disturbing.

Hopefully love it, nobody's forcing you to look at this.

Frankly, had we evolved in a different matter (ie not from apes), we might have a fetish for ape like anthros. Who knows.

My own personal conclusion on the matter: prosopopoeia pwn simians.

I do like gothic designs, but anthros are so much more fun and interesting to draw than humans, you're right. I like the colors. ^^

Late reply, I was away for a bit.

prosopopoeia - a figure of speech in which an imaginary person is represented as speaking or acting.

It's not that accurate in hindsight, I think therianthropic is a better term. Not that it's likely to replace anthropomorphic anytime soon. For all the haters out there I've always thought of these things as exotic humanoids, not humanoid animals. *shrug* Can't really debate the topic much with fanatics who believe otherwise and don't really listen.

Good job on the artwork.
By the way, I'm glad to know that some people will admit that anthro art isn't necessarily yiffomania. Somehow, I feel it's too late to convince most people that it's not all about sex and suits.

Pretty cool. and yes, just having regular humans is boring, thats probably other than the main char, theres not many important humans in my story.
