Did I read right? This is a photograph photoshopped to resemble Sumi-e? I was hoping you might know some good tutorials for Sumi-e, as I have just bought my first set and am going to start experimenting. Either way, this and the gold one are two outstanding pieces.

Yep, these are photographs. I'm sure there are tutorials for sumi-e on the net? Not sure as I have not done it before

These are beautiful manips (esp. #2,) however, they are Fantail Goldfish, not Koi. Koi do not have double tails or an egg-shaped body, as well as other distinctive traits.

This is a koi, which can get up to 36" long (rarely): [link]

This is a fantail goldfish (specifically a Ryukin in this case,) which can get up to maybe 8" long (rarely): [link]

#2 are possibly Tosakin, #1 is a Moor, and "This is not a Goldfish" looks like another Fantail Goldfish, as well.

Hope that helps!

Yes, I am aware they are goldfish- no.1 was a panda moor and the other two are fantails. I just used the title 'koi' as it is more reminiscent of eastern art than the term 'goldfish'.
