Description My version of Ophelia always has some manner of journal or letters with her, something she wrote about her madness or something Hamlet wrote to her.

Here I show her losing a few pages as she reaches over the river for the daisies and violets. Both flowers stand for innocence. I titled the piece "I would give you violets..." from her speach. Ophelia says that they 'withered all when my father died', meaning she lost her innocence when her father died. This is the scene where she is about to fall in the river, so I figured the flowers she should be reaching for, but can't get (innocence) are the ones that cause her to fall in. She is obviously not too concerned about drowning at this point. The ribbon that binds her wrists, neck, and waist, are my version of the straight jacket that was put upon her by the people at the castle.
