NOT FINISHED! This is the 3rd WIP. But... I give up. Her face is good, kinda. But the hair and just everything else isn't to me. Also, I don't think I should have added a background. Maybe I should have made it darker though or something. Argh. I don't know. But the hair is insanely hard for me! I didn't finish it. And what I did do of it, was done while I was very frustrated. I should have picked some other picture to draw really.I might come back to this drawing some time in the future. But I need a LOT more practice with hair before I do.

I think this is much better than you think. I think the background is fine. I like the eyes and the lips. Suggestion: put this away, and come back to it in a year - you will see what you need to do instantly - trust me. And you will know exactly how to do it.

The accuracy to the original is astounding... you say it's not finished and seem unhappy with it, but all I can see missing is some shading/texturing - it just looks like the brightness was turned up on the photo! If you'd posted this as complete and said it was your intention to make it seem lighter and lower contrast, I for one would never have been the wiser.

I just feel like I wouldn't do very good with finishing it now, as opposed to sometime in the future when I've had more practice. I do plan to come back to it someday though. Thank you though!

Like some others have said, I would add some darkness to the hair and maybe the shading on her face.
Although the suggestion of darker background could work too.
In any case, I think it's great!!!!

I also think it's very well done. all the hair needs is a few darker shadows in the "under" layers,
remember what they say " to acheive realistic hair you need to spend as much time on it as on the entire rest of the face."

I think this is very well done. yes, the hair does need a little bit of work, but I think this is a great picture other wise. no one would even think a thing about the hair if you didn't say anything. =] you are very talented. I admire you for being able to do this. <3

waaaah. quite good! lips looks very realistic---hell the whole thing looks great.
if you do decide to go back to it, i would darken not her, but the background. it will make the whole thing pop.
