Here comes quite a list, my fav game-series:
Jak & daxter(i don't count "lost frontier", made by another company and not nearly as good)
Metal gear solid (mgs)
Legacy of kain (particulary soul reaver)
Final fantasy (it's still good, not as good but still good)
Rayman (nostalgia!)
Resident evil (just look at the majority of images i've uploaded and it becomes obvious i like RE)
Dragon age
Diablo
Starcraft
Warcraft (NOT WOW)
Soulcalibur (duh)
Crash bandicoot ( don't care for the newer games, Twinsanity was the last good one for me)
I find games to be the most inspiring source, for me the most important element is the story, gameplay second!

Yeah, I can tell by your list that you really like good stories ^^ although I havent played manny of those games, but my friends did. And that would have been my case too... If I wasnt adicted to fighting games. I always wanted to play games with stories that you never forget, and makes you love a character, even though his design isnt the most creative design (Zelda XD).
But you know... fighting games almost always have cliched stories. At least Soul Calibur story isnt thaaaaaat bad. Could've been worse ^^
But I have to say... lately I value the character design and gameplay more than the story. A good example is Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 and Bayonetta. But if I dont like the main character is almost impossible for me to play a game (Dante's Inferno, Heavenly Sword, Ashuras Wrath, among others).
But since you like good stories, what do you think of Mass Effect and Deus Ex? And is Assasins Creed story good from your view?

The most memorable story for me is the Legacy of kain series, it is so intriguing,mysterious and really REALLY complicated!

Soul calibur USED to have a good story, it's just that most of it was merely read, not seen. Soulcalibur being created from a piece of souledge and all.
Oh and in case you didn't know, SCV only had 1/4th of it's intended story
I actually liked the story in bayonetta, though the gameplay and design did indeed have more of an impact.
Mass effect has a good long story that you can change quite a bit, Definetly worth buying.
I haven't actually played Deus ex or AC, the reason, i have enough good games on my plate

Well, I never got the chance to play Soul Raver, only a crappy demo at the time u_u. But I liked the story! Hope they make a new one one day, it will be more interesting than some of the games we have today u_u.

And yes, I always loved SC story and concepts. Read all the stories from Soul Edge, SC and SC3 (almost havent played SC2) and I loved how much story was behind the scenes, only matched by KoF who always have so much story too (regardless of the quality of the story XD).

They've actually been talking about a remake/reboot recently, hopefully the won't ruin it(i'm always worried that a reboot won't live up to the original)!
I was hoping they would give us more of the story later on aswell. Several of the characters didn't even show up in the story mode, they were just there.
Yeah, i loved how they made the story in SC3, choosing diferent paths and even having a secret final boss(night terror)!

Night Terror was the definition of Broken XD. Although I really liked Abyss too, he had more cool moves than Zasalamel, he even had a Hadoken XD.

Yeah but he was sort of an uber-boss, so him being overpowered was fitting! If he had been an unlockable character it would've been bad since everything would be so easy to complete.
And yes, Abyss is awesome(really hoped he would return as a bonus character)!

Really? Well, they said they wanted to, but if the profits were not good enough for Namco (wich I dont know u_u) I wonder if they keep up that promise. They have lied about a few things, like having Team Battle in SCV. BUT... lets hope for the best ^^

jaja estamos en las mismas entonces, hace unos días me puse a hacer unos cálculos y dije "oh... wait! hace 4 años ya que terminé la facultad... creo que tengo hasta fin de año para entregar la tesis!" fui a la facu... y si, efectivamente, hasta fin de este año, asique estoy con todo, pero igual veo pelis
