As the Banished continued to gain influence throughout the Galaxy, It was clear to both the Alliance and their enemies that they were now becoming a big player on the Universal stage.

They started out as Mercenary Raiding faction to a Faction that rivals The Galactic and Galra Empires, the Old Covenant and many more.

To Megatron, He understood the threat posed by The Banished very well but did not fear Atriox. And since half of his Decepticons are under Starscream's leadership he's short on manpower and realize he has one thing to do:

He must work with The Alliance in order to fight The Banished. But has to promise that once the War is over he has to leave them in peace.

Knowing Megatron that may or may not happen.
