What kind of family are they? I'm not decent enough to see it as a father blaming his lazy son or something. The sickeningly sweet interior decoration and Bacon faces suggests another relationship between two male figures. In that case, affair matters more than family.......
Just one of possibilities, as usual.

They were all in on it. They had the same robber masks Delia bought at the art store, but something went terribly wrong. Christopher got a nervous breakdown, and that was just the beginning. And who's to blame?

The room.
It should be a Chinese room designed by John Searle. But a wrong room is the right room. Delia had two reasons to buy those masks. One is to prove fishyness of face value. Christopher agreed on it and decided to play Gregor Samsa. Edvard was left behind, so, he said...........

Β If only the walls could speak - I prefer English to Mandarin. If only their minds Β were likeΒ John Searles, then I could open this Chinese box and simply ask: why was I left behind? And all those, more or less, invisible scales on the floor, who let the fish in ? Delia, I guess. She has a strong motivation..... A tiny mutter was heard from the cupboard. Inaudible, probably a small party Β playing Chinese whispers. zsszts sts zzz buzzbuzz

Oh, my........you mistook money for fish again?

Time is money, but so is fish. And some fishes shine like silver coins.
So a little slip in the pond is to be expected. Some ponds do also have coins at the bottom. Like wishing wells. So, yes.

And some fishes have their own currency, like electric eels!

Delia said,
The common points don't justify your fishing all the money out. Since the bathroom wall was blown up, we need chian!! Woa bu xi-fan....oops,I,...I think the skeleton in the tub did it. But, don't worry about the privacy. I bought masks to wear while bathing.
I recommend putting some anonymity on when you go for TUB(Totally Unbridled B---sh-t)!!
