I like this because it so strange but so straightforward at the same time. It looks like it should make sense while it makes no sense at all! And the text at the bottom is wonderful.

They are tied together. Litterally and in fashion. The one with big pipe is the alpha artist and the oher guy want to go his own way, but cant because he dont have the guts to go his own way. The push - pull thing. That is how I see it, anyway. But I do like your phrase "strange but so straightforward" β strange forward!

It's interesting how much more anxious the man with the smaller pipe looks when his face is identical to the other man's. But the smaller pipe, the distorted body, the trailing position create a different feeling.

no no no! now the only thing that i found truly great in the picture is gone - the twist in the room - now it is only a normal room with nice, clean baseboards .... the other one had this grubby polyester carpet and this splendid change of perspective behind the right baselitz (i still prefer to think of them both as baselitzes). it's okay for them to wear a scarf, though ... it's getting colder after all

i really don't believe there is anything you could possibly learn from me when it comes to art. the only thing i can give you is my personal reaction which sometimes tends to be quite relentless and prejudiced (like my dislike for complicated music etc.) - if this is to any use of you, all the better ...

i didn't think much of the other version, but i really like this one. the red tie and the curve at the bottom make a more pleasing composition. the guy with the pipe is great, he should continue to make appearances in your work.

Thanks! The other one wasn't pleasing, I know. But sort of more disturbing somehow. This one is more my composition, the other was more or less based on the photo. The pipe will reappear β I am sure. Thanks for commenting!
