This massive leather collar was made for the mercenary character „Alvar Tosteson“.
He is a rough tough nordic warrior, who smokes way too much hobbit herbs to be actually rough and tough. However – his collar:
The upper leather is a unique piece with parts of scabby fur. It´s about 2 mm thick.
The lining is made of 5-6 mm thick nubuk leather.
Upper leather and lining are joined together by handsewn saddlestitch hidden under the windings of furred lace. This lace was cut out by hand from the same leather as the upper layer.
The hasp is crafted of 3-4 mm leather with handtooled celtic ornaments quoting wild boars.
The neck of the collar is fortified with genuine horn plates.
This is real leatherwork. The customer wears it and fights in it.
On the picture, the character is illustrated to set the focus on the craftsmanship, but we have done no Photoshop or other computer manipulation on the armor. It looks just like that. (Although we have to admit we have a quite good photographer).
