For Pascal, the third edition of the obstacle course may have resulted in several broken bones and a hospital stay in the short term, but it was worth it in the long term. Her modest fame from winning and the accompanying reputation as a plucky daredevil earned her a couple of appearances in promotional videos for sporting goods manufacturers and the like. Although these gigs were usually not well paid, Pascal didn’t mind as she regularly got to keep some equipment, and more important the opportunity to try out all kinds of things, with free accommodations usually provided.

Her latest stint was to promote the new snow park of an alpine ski resort, where a camera crew would spend two weeks filming her performing breakneck tricks on a snowboard. Although she didn't really have much experience in snowboarding, she showed a natural talent for it and they had enough material together after just a few days. The rapid progress and the praise from the crew aroused her ambition. She really wanted to try this one trick in the big halfpipe (the one she had seen on the internet) that would make for a phenomenal ending to the video.

She actually managed to pull off the trick, but completely botched the landing, which landed her in a hospital once again. A mangled right shoulder, multiple cracked ribs and a broken femur resulted in a massive plaster cast for Pascale, completely covering her rump, right arm and right leg. Despite half her body encased in plaster, she decided she had seen enough of hospitals and would spend the rest of the two weeks back in her chalet - after all, it was already paid for by the resort operator.
