Description

The Race of the Antikans were interested to improve their Fusionreactor Systems and knowledge about Stars, the biggest Fusionreactors available.

Their Solar surveillance Ships used a 16 Meter, multilayer Frontshield to get as close as possible to a Star. the Shield is supported by high efficent Cooling systems and Radiators.

Large Coils in the Front build up a strong electromagnetic Field to gather a sample of the Stars Plasma, as a usefull side effect the Coils enhanced the allready strong Electromagnetic Shield to a level that even Battleships of the Nightsiders and Aquarians could barely match. The Engines make up an 1/8 of the Ships Mass and use simpel Paddles for reversing.

All in all the Attack of the Nightsiders hit the antikans hard and their Solar surveillance Ships became later a makeshift Frigate.

The idea of a Solar Science Ship came after i watched the Movie Sunshine.
