Description we found this record leaning up against a light post right here outside of the britannia community centre. it was titled "sweet souvenirs of mireille mathieu" and it was placed all alone still bearing an old price tag, probably from whichever garage sale or flea market where it was discovered. $2. i pulled out a pen and amanda found a piece of paper. she wrote the following note.

i purchased your record, 'sweet souvenirs of mireille mathieu.'
you weren't there.
i have left the two dollars for the record.
i hope you get it.
thank you.

she replaced the record with the note, weighing down the paper with a twoonie, and we continued on up commerical drive towards 1st avenue.

some of the songs were quite alright. she switched between english and french a bit and honestly we werent too impressed by the english stuff. but that's to be expected.

well, i can take credit for the composition.. light, though.. i don't know. and 'everything.' that would be taking it a bit too far.

thanks - i'm new to studio photography. i didnt realize it could be so easy to compose shots, and no worrying about the right lighting either. just swing down any canvas (there's a whole bunch to choose from) behind the model and everythings perfect.

Yeah, with the art in the background, he's doing a fine job indeed. We're on forbidden property here

Hmm,, well it is my own property so I think I am allowed. But perhaps I should allow passage once again. I just think it's difficult for most anyone to appreciate personal stuff here, which is one reason why I removed a lot of shots. It's always a stupid struggle for me between not exposing personal moments to a crowd and acquiescing to the fact that photographs exist to be viewed. I guess in my ideal world I'd hand pick my audience. I'm a bit of a retard.

Yeah, we've had several discussion about this before because you didn't like what I was saying about shots that were personal or done like that for a reason. Well, yeah... it's a stupid struggle indeed. Luckily I can distant myself from my photos quite well and I know that I still got a long way to go, so I don't mind some feedback. Although the "awww, cute, pretty, XD etc." comments are starting to invade my gallery too. I'd like to handpick my audience too, most definitely.

I guess it's less than I want to pick my audience and more than there are certain types of people I'd like to communicate with. When there are chances and I dont manage to make those connections, it's really tough for me. Usually it's a matter of recriprocation. i want to feel almost like I'm giving something back, however pathetic it is... one day, maybe.

The shadows were probably really nice. I'm picturing the shadows. I guess, that makes sense, since I don't need to picture what I can see here.
