Additional details:
It is the 22nd century, and after the Third World War wiped out civilization as we know it, humanity rose again. Yet the mistakes of the past have not been learned, and Man strides forwards in unrelenting violence and bloodshed. Even if technology has devolved; ideas forgotten; history erased under nuclear hellfire; the one thing that survives is war.

It seems as if Scandinavia is the only truly sane place left. A beacon of democracy in an age of imperialism, totalitarianism and brutality. The Swedish, Finnish and Danish stand together against the English occupation of their brother Norway and the creeping tendrils of Russian quasi-fascism.

On one side, the Internationale prepares for global revolution. Born from the movements that tore down authoritarian emergency governments. The socialists, communists and social-revolutionaries all work in uneasy cooperation towards hopelessly idealistic goals, through horribly brutal methods. They are totalitarians feigning justice, imperialists in all but name, seeking to destroy all remnants of a disgusting and beautiful past. But that doesn't matter — for in their view, a new dawn has risen upon the world, and the great red deluge shall rise to consume all continents.

On the other side, the various imperialist and nationalist regimes fight among themselves and the Internationale. They are a cabal of tyrannical regimes and power-hungry empires, usually known for their ideological radicalism, jingoist tendencies and plates full of horrible policies. They are a disorganized mess of states, that will occasionally unite to combat the red threat. They are the ones that claim anti-communism as a crusader ideal, yet are as bad as the Internationale. They are the million marching boots, walking towards the open pit of fire, trampling over the carcasse of a continent, all while chanting God, Glory, Honour, Money and Blood.
