Lance had been consumed by Nightmare Syndrome, an infliction given to people with deep-seeded anguish that slowly devours the inflicted person's will. Once a person's eyes turn black they will be under Nightmare's control. During the opening ceremony for Family Day, Lance lost control and release his hold on his Quirk to attack everyone around indiscriminately. Hoping to save her friend, Alexis rushed to try and reason with Lance but it was useless. The only thing she could hope to do was to suppress him. With heavy heart, Alexis used her Angry Shout in hopes of stopping Lance before he could do anymore damage.Scene Appears in Chapter 24: Family Day
