although, it could also be done using a black background/cloth instead of the blue background/clear glass? just wondering how thatd turn out

I may have a go at that..most of what is in the image is actually a CD but I could definitely play with it.

I love it, great use of light, and the main focus on the largest drop or sphere, looks great to me.

Three questions, what lens is that, what did you use as a light source, and what is slpitting the light like that?

I just used an 18-55mm lens, the light source was natural light from outside (by the window)..it was just a few water drops placed on the back of a CD. I did nothing more than that.
