Description An American Indian searches the riverbank for signs of his quarry. Behind him, his trusty pinto-coated horse seems to have spotted something on the far bank. The tracker is not particularly well armed for hunting game or enemies. Perhaps, he is tracking something - or someone - else, for another reason. The Kokopelli symbol decorating his horse's tack may be a clue.

You know he's from one of the plains or western tries. None of the eastern tribes had horses, i think. I go for the tribes in the Northwest Teritories( from Ticonderoga to Pittsburgh and Detroit). Living in Indiana helps knowing some of the region's history.Β

I actually know the tribes from the Southeast, but art-wise, the southwestern tribes are so much more popular.

Ok, that's kinda nice...could be from so many tribes, so it's very inclusive that way.

NativeAmericans seemed to like pinto horses. It gives me a warm affection for such people and an insight into their artistic nature. I was very interested in an article about their decoration of tepees on the theme of every man being his own artist.

His chick took off and he's after claiming her back, isn't he? Between Kokopelli all over his tack and his expression of "...tsk! Where'd that woman get to now?!" that's my best guess, anyway Stunning scene, very inspiring work!
