Description
Here is the latest in my Knightly Art series. With armor the color of fall foliage, this artwork is especially for the autumn. We also get to see the Knights object of courtly love, the woman who has rather playfully gained control of his sword.The humans and horse were posed using Poser, then imported into Vue where the rest of the scene was constructed. Final rendering was done in vue and took about 32 hours on an Intel I3 2.93 GHz with 8 gig of RAM.

How do you transfer a model of something from one program to another? Is it just saved as a file where you can open it anywhere?

Yes, that's pretty much how you do it. You save the object in a file that it is recognized by both the source and destination applications.
I prefer the obj format. It's pretty much the lingua franca of 3D apps. It's also just an ascii text format, so if you need to and know how, you can write your own software to make changes.
Some applications can also directly load another's files. For instance, Vue can open Poser's pz3 files and import the characters within.
