Walking through a seemingly endless canyon.
Watched by walls of stone, tall and foreboding.
Beneath my feet, a road, eternal.
Unending...
Worn by those who traveled before me.
Many separate paths branching out.
Some appear new.
Others look ancient.
Many seem as old as time itself.
I will not follow them.
They are paths made by those before me.
Not meant for me.
Mot mine to take.
I contunue on...

As I walk, I find no peace, no tranquility.
All I find is Loneliness.
And in that Loneliness, I find Sadness.
I am alone.
I travel with naught but my purpose.
I continue on...

I see no end to this road.
No final destination.
Where am I going?
Am I going nowhere at all?
Am I traveling the same area all over again?
I cannot be sure of myself.
All I can do is keep walking.
My purpose, long since faded away.
But still I continue on...

I come to the crossroads.
Three directions to choose from.
The way to the right, bathed in light.
To the left, a beautiful, flowery meadow.
The middle path, veiled in a shadowy darkness.
Which way do I go?
What path do I take?
Well-worn paths to the left and right.
Untouched road straight ahead.
I know where to go.
I walk willingly into the shadows.
I continue on...

Did I make the right choice?
I will never know.
But this I do know.
I stayed true to my way.
I no longer have purpose.
I walk just to walk.
Never daring to stop.
All I can do now is continue on...
