Waist Up, Simple Background Commission for of her character Eglantine Cyr. Thanks for the commission!

I had a lot of fun with this one. Here is the description given to me by the owner:

"Eglantine is a fifteen-year-old girl who is a character in the novel I'm writing about a dystopian future. She is a survivor of a nuclear meltdown, living in an irradiated city. There's something in the genetics that allows her siblings to have survived the radiation. Eglantine is half-Indian and half-Acadian (French-Canadian), but despite her Indian heritage and perhaps because of the radiation, she is very pale-skinned. And the other effect of the radiation is that she's bald, completely hairless except eyelashes, in fact. She sometimes wears a silk scarf on her head for protection against the sun. She is skinny and prefers to dress in silk caftans, robes, kimonos: soft flowing fabrics. Her eyes are golden-hazel-brown and thickly lashed; she draws in her eyebrows with an eyeliner pencil. When she's missing her mother, she'll dot on a red kumkum bindi and wear her amethyst prayer beads on one of her wrists. Despite the lousy set of circumstances in the world, she is still hopeful."

In the corner I've included anemone flowers. Like its aquatic namesake, the intricate petals of the anemone massage the air, bringing a quiet beauty and calm to its environment. This is the flower that represents a soothing calm, a means of overcoming adversity and anxiety. I felt it would be an appropriate addition to the piece.

In any case, thanks again for the commission, and I hope you all like how she turned out.
