And now they are complete. This piece was inspired by Bleach Chapter 416. I've never been struck so hard by a manga chapter before and felt a need to do this piece to get the emotion out of my system.
I'm a massive Gin fan so this had a big toll on me since I've been following the story for years. And this had my GinRan love bells chiming like crazy. The way Rangiku is crying over him in this chapter... it pulled every heart string I have. His last words... just... the entire chapter is heart breaking.
If only they could be together without the tragedy.
Thanks to everyone who helped out in livestream! I enjoyed your company. And if you weren't there I hope to see you on my next piece.

I refuse to think that he is dead! Kubo would be PRETTY stupid if he killed off a popular character like Gin. 
I honestly think that Gin will come back, some way or some how, I don't know, but he will come back. Kubo never kills off the good guys. Yes, Gin was a "bad guy" but he was doing all of the crap for Rangiku and to protect his people. I will not accept his "death"

I know right? I mean there have been characters like Hinamori that I seriously thought that she was gone but she ended up surviving. Gin was a captain and for him to be named as captain, he must be pretty strong, which may lead to surviving injuries. According to Bleach, a slash on the chest and getting an arm ripped off is like getting a paper cut on your pinky. I've seen worse injuries from other character (and they suvived) and I don't think that it would be fair to declare him dead. 
He's a good guy after all. And to be honest, he turned out to be the most intelligent and clever character out of all bleach characters

Yes, I am hoping that he will come back. I honestly wouldn't want another character to replace Gin's position because Gin was too much of a unique character to be replaced.

I had exactly the same reaction when I read that chapter! I was bawling my eyes out the entire time. I hate how Kubo's left it kind of open ended though and hasn't definitively said that he is dead. I mean chances are pretty good that he's dead, but there's still a little part of me that's hoping Unohana got to him in time. It's just so unfair to the both of them that he is pinned as a traitor and then when the truth comes out, their reunion gets cut short. Too sad! Your picture really captures the emotion of that whole scene.
